Faculty Resources
The Technology Coordinator for the College is available to assist you with your computing needs. Assistance
can vary from a simple consultation to co-teaching a class
session with you. Most services listed below should
be reserved in advance, and additional resources may
be available through your department or University Computing.
If you have any questions about accessing technology at the University, need to purchase a computer or software, or are having problems getting help from technology services, please contact:

- Computer Labs:
Winther 1006 contains two computing labs
- Hours vary, though 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mon. thru Fri. during Fall and Spring semesters is typical. Summer hours are more variable.
- Hansel has 15 PCs, 5 Macs, and a projector.
- Gretel has
14 PCs, 7 Macs, and a projector.
- Labs may be reserved for your class use by stopping in or online.
- When not in use by classes, the labs are open access and staffed by student lab monitors who assist users.
- Faculty may use a lab 24/7.
- Technology Classrooms: Twenty-five rooms (Winther 1001, 1002, 1013, 1014, 2001, 2005, 2008, 2010, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 3002, 3006, 3010, 3011, 3012, 3013, Roseman 1040, HC 0005, and the five Williams Center classrooms) have ceiling mounted LCD projectors, a computer, a DVD/VCR, and a laptop conection. Smartboards and Document cameras are also available in some rooms. Keys to the computer desks and help getting started are available from us.
- Portable Equipment: Check-out is to faculty, but students may return equipment. Extended loans (i.e. for a conference) will be granted based on availability and schedule.
- LCD Projectors: Lightweight projectors are available in carrying cases.
- Laptop Computers: Apple and Windows wireless laptops are available.
- Digital
Still Cameras: Small lightweight and easy to use, these still cameras will capture images for your presentations, web sites, or for printing.
- Digital Video Cameras: DV units able to capture video and audio are available. They easily connect to computers for editing and output to CD, DVD, or as short videos for classroom use.
- Audio Recorders: Perfect for recording your lecture and uploading to a podcast.
- Website Help: We can create and maintain a website for your program, department, or faculty profile page. Websites are ideal for handling repetitive queries of common information and for marketing your programs.
- On-Line Teaching: If you are thinking of moving a course or program online, the LTC and my area are ready to help you. Instructional design, production resources, podcasts, video support and more are available. Please inquire how we can support you.
- Production Resources: Some resources (scanners, DVD recorders, video capture, web page development, etc.) are available for your use through WITRC and the Learning Technology Center on campus. Please inquire.
