The UWW Physics Major and Minor

  Designed especially for students who want to pursue graduate study in physics or a related field

  Designed especially for students who want to work in industrial research and development
  
  
• Engineering
  Designed especially for students who want to pursue an engineering career. There are several options:
  1. Two year transfer: Students in this program will complete the prerequisite courses for admission into a college of engineering in their first two years at UW-Whitewater. They may then choose to transfer to the engineering school of their choice.
  2. Four year degree: Students in this program will complete a B.S. degree in Physics: Engineering Emphasis and usually a minor in Mathematics.
  3. 3-2 program: Students have the option of completing 3 years of work at UW-Whitewater and 2 years of work at UW-Milwaukee. In return they earn a B.S. degree in Physics: Engineering Emphasis from UW-Whitewater and a B.S. degree in Engineering (either Civil, Electrical, Industrial, Materials, or Mechanical) from UW-Milwaukee. The department Course Rotation is available on the web or in printed form at the department office to help you plan which courses you wish to take in the future.
