Grading Policy

Your grade in this course will be based on

1. Class participation (including attendance): 30 points (or 5% of your total grade).  Up to three absences are allowed for the whole semester. Students who miss class more than three times will loose two (02) points for each absence thereafter.

2. Homework assignments are due on Tuesdays at the beginning (not at the end) of lecture. Late homework will not be accepted. Each HW assignment is worth twelve points and we will have approximately 10 assignments. They will count for 120 points (or 20% of your total grade).

3. Four (04) exams will be given during this semester but only the three highest will be counted. Each exam is worth 100 points (or 1/6 of your total grade). The three highest exams will then be worth 300 points (or 50% of your total grade). The dates will be announced two weeks in advance.

4. A final exam worth 150 points (or 25% of your total grade).

The Final exam will be in this room Tuesday, May 9, 2006. Time: 3:15 – 5:15 pm.
