The library media specialist serves the needs of all children with their variety of abilities, learning preferences and cultural understandings.   The program is rooted in and gives form and meaning to the principles of democracy: the right of people of all ages to intellectual freedom and the right of people to equity of access to information.  

The program offers

The program also offers a graduate distance education program in collaboration with UW-Eau Claire, UW-Madison, UW-Oshkosh, and UW-Superior for students in under-served areas of the state. This program leads to both initial and professional levels of licensure.
