Teaching Philosophy: I understand that counselor education is a collaborative experience between the teacher, student and client using theoretical approaches and practices of counseling. I desire that students learn that they are an agent of change in helping their clients improve their human condition. Students learn to counsel using scientific bases woven into the art of relationship fostering therapeutic change.

Favorite Quote: "We need to be angels for each other, to give each other strength and consolation. Because only when we fully realize that the cup of life is not only a cup of sorrow but also a cup of joy will we be able to drink it." — Henri J.M. Nouwen
