PROJECT NAME: Implementing best instructional practices & creating an inviting environment and warm climate for all students
SUMMARY OF PROJECT:
The project is a district wide effort to improve the school climate for the ELL program in the Edgerton School District. There are three specific goals:
- Increasing awareness of the needs of the ELL program in the district
- Sharing knowledge of best practices for ALL children
- Increasing communication between school and community.
We have developed a specific task list. Each member has taken on several tasks. We meet once a month to evaluate our progress and, if necessary, reassess our plan. We have made progress in most areas of our goals.
TEAM GOALS:
- Every child leaves Banting reading at the 6th grade level.
- Children improve explaining their problem solving skills-math constructed response.
- Every child feels safe and connected to our school.
