PROJECT NAME: Implementing best instructional practices & creating an inviting environment and warm climate for all students

SUMMARY OF PROJECT:

The project is a district wide effort to improve the school climate for the ELL program in the Edgerton School District. There are three specific goals:

  1. Increasing awareness of the needs of the ELL program in the district
  2. Sharing knowledge of best practices for ALL children
  3. Increasing communication between school and community.

We have developed a specific task list. Each member has taken on several tasks. We meet once a month to evaluate our progress and, if necessary, reassess our plan. We have made progress in most areas of our goals.

TEAM GOALS:

  1. Every child leaves Banting reading at the 6th grade level.
  2. Children improve explaining their problem solving skills-math constructed response.
  3. Every child feels safe and connected to our school.
