PROJECT NAME: Journey to Success for ALL Students
SUMMARY OF PROJECT:
Our school has changed significantly in the last six years. Our students living in poverty went from 12% to 43%. We used to have a handful of English Language Learners and now our school is one-third ELL. With this shift in population, new challenges face us including issues of student achievement. Our goal this year is to break down the school goals for all, then through shared leadership, meet the objectives. The three objectives include:
- Learn and then utilize best practices through staff development.
- Provide students with emotional/behavioral support.
- Create a triangle of success
TEAM GOALS:
- Every child leaves Banting reading at the 6th grade level.
- Children improve explaining their problem solving skills-math constructed response.
- Every child feels safe and connected to our school.
