Who Should Declare This Major?
Full-time, undergraduate students who wish to work with young children both with and without disabilities.
Who Should Not Declare This Major?
• Part-time students
• Students who wish to teach beyond the third grade
• Students interested in only a regular education teaching license. (Students
should be informed that students with disabilities are included in most regular
education classes.)
How Long Does the Program Take?
The program is six semesters long. The first semester (Ecology of the Child) substitutes for the Pre-Block.
