Before you begin writing your story, review the 6 Traits of Writing, to ensure that you understand how your writing will be evaluated. Also, review each of the sites listed below regarding parts of a story and plot line diagrams, so that you understand what is needed in a story before you begin writing.

Your writing will be graded based on the 6 Traits of Writing, and your ability to incorporate the information and features of your particular location into your story. After gathering information from the Resources, and reviewing the 6 Traits of Writing, print off the Evaluation Rubric, and begin writing your story. When you are finished, visit the Conclusion Page.

Detailed Plot Line Diagram- This diagram offers explanations for each step.

Plot Line Diagram- This is a basic plot line diagram, without each individual step.

Plot Page- This page details what should be considered for a plot. Consider your conflict and how you can develope in while you review this page.

Setting Page- This page details what setting is and why it is important.

Character Page-Although your characters are already developed, you should review this page to understand thier roles in your story. Your reader should be able to determine who is the protagonist, antagonist, etc.

Atmosphere Page-This page offers some helpful advice for your writing.

Theme Page- This page will help you develope a clear plot.

Tips for Writing Short Stories- This page has helpful hints for writing a successful short story.
