A coat of arms was often the family "symbol." Families would use symbols such as colors or pictures of animals to tell others about their family's history, or trade skills held by the family (what kind of jobs they had).
Your assignment is to make a coat of arms that shows what you have learned today. Instead of making a coat of arms about your family, you are going to draw four pictures that represent some of the things that you learned today onto a coat of arms.
You could draw a picture of a famous person, a picture about an event that you read about, or anything else that you discovered in your studies.
After you are finished drawing in the picture you should write a small paragraph describing each of the four items that you drew, explaining what it is and what you learned about it today.
If you want to, you can choose a color from the list below that describes yourself. You should then right a few sentances that tells how the color describes you.
Purple: Justice, Sovereignty, Regal
Maroon: Victorious , Patient in Battle
Red: Warrior , Martyr , Military Strength
Orange: Worthwhile Ambition
Blue: Strength , Loyalty
Black: Grief
Green: Hope , Loyalty in Love
