Introduction

Early in the morning on December 7, 1941, you wake up to the sound of roaring planes overhead.  This is nothing new to you because you live on the Naval Base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.  In fact your father works for the Navy as a lieutenant on the U.S.S. Arizona.  Something is strange, the planes sound different somehow, and besides it is Sunday morning, there should not be any planes flying right now.  You jump out of bed and run outside to see what is going on.  Once outside you cannot believe what you are seeing, single engine white fighter planes with a large red circle on each wing headed towards the harbor.
