The Girl Who Owned a City

by O.T Nelson

A journey for the young leader

Webquest guided by Marshall Olson, Annie Phillips, Dean D'Amato, Mary Durand, and Mary White

Introduction

These activities will assist you during and after your reading of The Girl Who Owned a City, written by O.T. Nelson. Throughout this webquest, you will learn more about yourself and you will gain a greater understanding of how you fit into the world around you, past, present, and future.

Click on "task" to the left and you will learn what is required of you during this webquest. These activities have been selected for you, students in a middle school classroom. All of the worksheets you will need can be downloaded and printed out, if your teacher has not already done that for you. Other materials you will need include a small piece of posterboard, magazines, glue, scissors, markers, and/or crayons. Otherwise, just bring your open mind, a pencil, and a willingness to learn.

When clicking on "process," the webquest will spell out, step by step, how to finish the tasks that you are required to complete. While it is not necessary, it is recommended that you also check out the link "evaluation," since it describes the way that your teacher will be assessing your worksheets and your final product.

All of the research that you must do will be under the "resources" link. You don't have to find any of the links; we have found them for you! Other research is acceptable, as long as you discuss it with your teacher.

HAVE FUN!
