Introduction	Welcome to Australia! You will be taking two virtual tours of Australia. The first tour will highlight the physical geography of the country and some of Australia's most amazing geographic landmarks such as the Great Barrier Reef and the Australian Outback! The second tour will be a fascinating look at the different cultures found in Australia. Please refer to the directions below.

Directions:

1. Slowly, one at a time, go through each tour of Australia. Find the tours by clicking on the "Tours/Map" Link on the toolbar. You may also want to use this to refer to the map from time to time.

2. As you go through the tours, jot down some notes and start deciding which destinations are your favorites.

3. Pretend that you have actually visited these places. Now that you are home, you must make a scrapbook about your adventures.

Your scrapbook must include:
A. Cover Page-Must have a creative title, your name, and your class hour. It must be neat and colorful with hand drawn pictures representing your trip. Please include a drawing of yourself on your trip.

B. Four Trip Pages-You must have a page for each of your four favorite destinations. You must choose two destinations from Tour 1 (the geographical tour) and two from Tour 2 (the cultural tour). Each page should have a creative, fancy looking title. Each page must have a short summary paragraph describing the features of the destination and why you chose it as your favorite. Then include some pictures (colored) on each page. Half of your pictures must be your own hand drawings. The other pictures can be from other resources such as clip art, magazines, the internet, or from books.

**For extra credit you must use your imagination and write a short story. For this story you must make up an exciting adventure that happened to you when you visited one or more of your destinations.

C. Map Page-This page must include a small map of Australia. Find the map on the credits/conclusion page. This map must be color coded by the different territories. You must also label all of the territories. Neatness Counts!

D. Conclusion Page-Label this page "Conclusion." Write a short paragraph about why other people should visit Australia.
