*Things I am most proud of professionally:
I am proud of having taken on the challenge of a mid-life career change from law/legal education to undergraduate education in media studies. As a teacher, I think I offer the best of both worlds: a newcomer’s enthusiasm combined with a veteran’s experience.
*My teaching philosophy:
In my opinion, two necessary components of an effective and valuable learning experience are participation and writing. Both, in their way, constitute learning by doing. Therefore, in the classroom I rely much more heavily on class discussion than on lecture, and my courses always include a substantial, semester-long writing component.
