Undergraduate Research

The department actively encourages students to participate in research outside of the classroom experience. This research often involves investigation into techniques and processes outside of the normal curriculum. Students may then choose to present their research at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR). Funding is available both for research and for travel to and from the conference, but this funding usually must be applied for almost a year in advance. Students should contact the instructor under whom they wish to work.
